Location
The Hotel Veneto Rome offers a fantastic romantic break for couples
young and old on arguably the most romantic street in the world
– Via Veneto. Immortalised in the classic 1960 movie La
Dolce Vita, in which a young photographer goes in search of
meaning and substance among the fashionable elite of the Italian
capital, this street has become synonymous with Italian style, the
most refined aspect of Italian culture and the good life.
In the near half century since La Dolce Vita Via Veneto
has grown into one of the world’s most prestigious stretches
of road, lined with the finest and most exclusive restaurants and
hotels Rome has to offer, winding down from Villa Borghese to Piazza
Barberini as if providing a catwalk from the tranquil Pincio Hill
overlooking the eternal city from the north, down into the Baroque
heart of Rome.
At the bottom of the catwalk we find the Spanish Steps and the
Trevi Fountain - just another two of Rome’s greatest treasures
that characterise the golden era of Italian films as much as the
period in which they were built; and onwards, Piazza Navona, Campo
de’Fiori, the Tiber River and Island, the Colosseum and Roman
Forums and of course, the illustrious Vatican City State and centre
of the catholic world.
